Plastic pollution is suffocating our planet
Ocean & Sage utilises innovative technology to remove water from personal care product formulations.
Personal care products such as shampoo can contain up to 95% water. This equates to 380 mL water in an average 400 mL bottle of shampoo, with 20 mL of other ingredients (less than a shot glass).
This high-water content necessitates larger packaging for high-volume products, leading to increased plastic waste and transportation demands.

The world produces 381 million tonnes of plastic waste each year.
50% of this due to single-use plastic whilst only 9% of plastic is completely recycled.
It is estimated an average person could be ingesting 5 grams of plastic every week.
By 2050, there will be more plastic than fish by weight in the ocean.
Plastic pollution is in 100% of marine turtles, 59% of whales, 36% of seals and 40% of seabird species.
